We are all looking for THE REASON

Trying to rationalise the black swan event. Going back in time and catching up on Zoonosis. Fast forward to accusing OBOR for landing hundreds of migrant Chinese workers in Lombardy, Tuscany & Qom. Pausing to connect with at least one of the many conspiracy theories — the Agent one is stunning! Attempt a corona hack blowing hot hair into the sinuses. Forwarding celebratory pledges & stickers of the big man. Some retweeting L’il Kamra giving the middle finger to the big man. Yes — we are all doing our own shiz.
Amidst all hullabaloo I think I have found MY reason. I am now ready to make peace with the little 30KB monster with its camouflaged spike proteins, after a week of emotionally exhausting roller-coaster ride. Yes, I am pausing all further speculations about “why” and trying to focus more on “how. The Big Question — how do I prepare for a post-covid world?
SOFT-RESET
Nature pressed the power button in November 19, and there has been no looking back since. The system was hanging. The society was on a self-destruct mode and no one was listening. SOFT RESET means while the power will cycle, there is no need to return to ice age (factory) settings. We just need to clear cache. Once we re-boot the system will chug along fine, just like old times.
You see there was no other way to build trust amongst people divided. No better way to teach us to start thinking about our immune system. No better way to put people ahead of profitability. No better time than now to take a first look and clean your grand-pa’s bedsores. The skies are clearing up, NOx levels are down, Noise is down and the only sound in my study wafting in are of pots and pans — folks cooking ghar-ka-khana in their kitchens. Preparation for post-Covid world starts with more appreciation of our analog lives.

Emotion makes us Analog — goose bump’d in the balconies of Italy as quarantined musicians play. Touch makes us Analog. Touch of warm hands on your face instead of the screen. Craft makes us analog, picking up the paper and pen to scribble those few lines floating in your headspace.
Note to myself: Stop frothing about ‘digital’ business — tracking, targeting, re-targeting, burning the extra hours pounding away on new opportunities that just opened up in the WFH space. That memo I just dashed off could have waited buddy. Instead, why not solve genuine problems. Deliver resources to segments of society that need them most. Minimize waste. Survive on Less. Expand my viewing window — there is so much to cover right now.
THE CODE CLEAN-UP

Like Elon I am a strong believer in the theory that we live in a simulated world. Most of our life is scripted in loops — an elliptical trajectory from where you can’t make big departures however hard you try. I believe the code was getting messy, and needed an elegant solution for the cleanup.
The 30KB solution was designed just right. Not enough power to wreak havoc and power down the entire system, not too light to be taken as a false alarm, its cadence just right to creep in under cover and fly thereafter, ethically balanced (or so it would seem) eliminating carriers that are expendable, and laser targeted to detoxify the nerve centre (the inflamed EGO) — the suspect area in a species effing up the game big time. This I believe is the “Grand Design”, and now makes me look at the monster in awe. (We still can’t make one of such beauty and effectiveness in our labs by the way)
I wish you the very best in finding your own reason as to why COVID19 happened. Dabble all you want with technical papers, data streams and ‘obviously’ fake videos, but make peace with it, once you find YOUR reason.
